Crowds at the Basel Tattoo Parade

After the successful Basel Tattoo Last night's premiere saw a veritable rush of visitors to today's parade. Under a bright blue sky, 130 spectators crowded the streets of Basel's city center, confirming the great interest in the Basel Tattoo. The bands of Basel Tattoo and 38 guest formations from Germany and abroad created a happy and colorful atmosphere.

With the drum group West Nederland and the St. Sebastianus Guild from Gendt, two Dutch bands took part in the parade. The William Diamond Junior Fife and Drum Corps from the USA had the longest journey to take part in the parade.

The many bagpipe formations were once again responsible for goosebumps along the route. A total of 2 participants took part in the parade and created an excellent atmosphere throughout the city. The local heroes of the Top Secret Drum Corps provided a worthy conclusion.

Before the parade, government councilor Conradin Cramer named all the band leaders Basel Tattoo welcome to the official reception in the community hall. The head of the education department recognized her commitment to this great event and to the city of Basel.
