The Basel Tattoo Anniversary show is in the starting blocks

This will return next Friday, July 15, 2022 Basel Tattoo back to the arena. Today the creators of the second largest tattoo in the world gave an insight into the rehearsals. The anniversary show presents 1 participants from five continents. From the Top Secret Drum Corps to the Red Hot Chilli Pipers to the British Queen's Guard, everything is of rank and repute. The anticipation of the producer Erik Julliard is literally noticeable and is already expressed when the media representatives are greeted at today's rehearsal visit: "We can do what we love to do best again, namely inspiring people," says the producer and continues to add "The formations, but also the team , the OK and all the helpers have done an excellent job over the past few days and weeks. I'm also impressed by the quality of the cast. The audience can look forward to a great anniversary show."

The list of well-known formations is long. Whether Top Secret Drum Corps, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, the Kings Guard from Norway, the Welsh Guards of the British Queen, the national team of Swiss brass bands - the Swiss Army Central Band, the traditional Les Armaillis or the presidential representative orchestra from Bulgaria: they all belong among the absolute best in the world and are a guarantee for a spectacular and moving program with musical delicacies.

Bagpipes from all over the world A concentrated charge of energy is released when the 200 bagpipe players and drummers pick up their instruments. They do this at the beginning of the show, in the touching Scottish act and in the grand finale. The Massed Pipes and Drums consist of ten formations from four continents. They are accompanied, among others, by the 50 light-footed Flings and Things Highland Dancers from Scotland. With the performance of the Kumudini Homes School Pipe Band from India and the Irish Uillean piper Conal McDonagh, the audience experiences two new components from the world of bagpipes.
