For more than 10 years, the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport (DDPS) has been the patron of the Basel Tattoo. A few weeks ago, the contract with the DDPS was extended by another five years, until 2027. The Basel Tattoo can therefore continue to call itself the official tattoo of Switzerland. The national team of Swiss brass bands
The Swiss Army Central Band is the flagship of Swiss military music and is rightly called the national team.
